The purpose of this health-care respirator is to provide respiratory protection to the user. It complies with the CDC’s M. tuberculosis exposure control standards. It is meant to decrease wearer exposure to specific airborne particles, such as those created by electrocautery, laser surgery, and other powered medical devices, as a disposable particulate respirator. It is developed as a surgical mask to be fluid resistant against blood and other infectious materials splashing and spattering.
